We go to the beach like 5 days a week. I'm use to going to the beach so often since we have been doing it for a while. The beach is about 10 minutes from Villa Verde 2 (the condo building we are staying at, so its not a very long walk). When we were in Santa Teresa we met a guy who owned a surf shop, he gave us a good deal on boogie boards. We were able to get a surf board bag that held dads surf board and all of our boogie boards, so that we could take all that to Tamarindo. We usually bring boogie boards to the beach, although sometimes we just want to walk to the beach without having to hold anything. At the beach we do lots of stuff, boogie boarding, swimming, digging, playing in the tide pools, surfing, fish catching, and lots more. I like the beach tons, you don't have to get used to the ocean water, it's warm! One time, we were going to go to the beach, dad decided to try a different method of carrying all the stuff. He thought we should put everything in the stroller and tie it on with rope. We went with that idea and it worked! Although, the stroller was pretty heavy to push and was wobbling because of the weight of all the stuff and the rocks on the unpaved road. The roads are mostly unpaved here, nothing like where I'm from, The States.
At the beach the sand can get really hot, the heat here is incredible. The sun is its hottest from about 10:00am-3:00pm. I've gotten used to all the heat and sweat, 99 percent of the day I'm sweaty, the only time that I'm not sweaty is when I'm showering, in the ocean, or swimming in the pool.
