We went to tons of restaurants when we were in Tamarindo, I can't even name them all. Lets see there was Zen Cafe, Patagonia, Surf Shack, La Baula, The Roof, and La Esquina. Well, which one should I talk about first? Oh I know, Zen Cafe. Zen Cafe was right next to our house, just down the street. I was longing to go there for what felt like forever. And one day, my mom took me and my brothers there. They had toys, and fun seats, there was even a bike. When we got there we all went straight to the toys except Noah who wondered around the corner and found a bike, nobody in my family excpected to find a bike there. After we played awhile we were ready to order. There were lots of fun smoothies, but the funnest of all had ground cookies in it, it also had strawberries milk and banana, how fun is that? We ordered the funnest of all, cookies, strawberries, milk and bananas. The smoothie was suprisingly good! It was really sweet though, but that's fine, the sweeter the better. After the smoothie we each took turns riding the bike around the restaurant The staff was nice enough to let us ride the bike around the place. The man who made our smoothie gave us each a marshmallow candy, they were like died marshmellow with a fruity flavor. After our smoothie and marshmallow candy, we played at little play area for a little longer, then we went home.
The Roof was a nice resturaunt. I think I know why it was called The Roof because it was on the top of the building plus it had a big deck on the top. It was interesting because the restuarant was on top of a super market and connected to a hostel. Dad told me that there was an elevator to get up to the restaurant, I was excited, because I hadn't riden or seen an elevator on our trip. Once we were off the elevator and in the restaurant we were deciding on where to sit, there was the upstairs, or the downstairs, it wasn't long to decide where to sit. We sat on the second story because it had the best view of the sunset, and the pretty view of the sunset was one of the reasons we chose the Roof Top over all the other restaurants in Tamarindo. The sunset was beautiful, and this time instead of just mom taking tons of pictures, I took tons of pictures with my water camera. My parents drank cocktails while we watched the marvelous red sunset in front of us. Dad got a Tequlla Sunrise and mom got a homemade Sangria. I tried an apple from her sangria, it was so good. We all ate pepperoni and cheese pizza, it was delicious. I enjoyed our time at The Roof, "it was fabulous" as my grandma Joyce would say.
Surf shack is a nice restaurant not to far away from our little condo. Surf Shack has delicious milkshakes, tons of burgers to choose from and good french fries. We went to Surf Shack twice during our stay at Tamarindo. The lady who owns Surf Shack goes to church with us, she is from Colorado, and she has two kids. The first time we went to Surf Shack dad got chicken strips, mom got a blue cheese burger, I got chicken strips, Levi got a burger, and Noah got a hotdog. Lucas usually just eats mom's food or french fries. Surf Shack is a nice place, it has a kid section which distracted the boys while we waited for our food. The second time we went there we got a really good chocolate peanut butter milkshake
