16th March, we enjoyed a guided tour of Kuang Si waterfalls and had chance to swim in one of the beautiful pools, although it felt cold at first you soon got used to it, but you had to put up with the small fish nibbling the dead skin on your feet (often giving you a nasty nip) Also visiting a Asian Black Bear Rescue Centre where poaching of these creatures is common to sell to the Chinese!!!! Some were maimed from the method used to catch them (snare around their upper torso) loosing arms or paws, you can't help feeling sorry for them but I wouldn't want to cuddle one. That evening we had dinner with a local family, it was a great insight into how they live. Friday 17th free day, so up at 05:30 to see the Monks parade through the city collecting their daily thanksgiving from the people living here (also tourists) mostly food stuff for their meals. Did the very interesting Palace museum, a temple and the night market (can't stop Ga buying stuff) J & G
