We set off on a 4 x 4 track to Lake Jasper in the D'Entrecasteaux National Park WA The track classification was "may need high clearance" so just above easy that was not our experience we found the track difficult. Access to the track is via Scot River Rd, and Milyeanup Rd which is mainly through farm land The track proper starts at Woodarburpup Rd and Warpet Track. And then the going gets difficult - soft sand, badly scalloped steep tracks, overgrown, steep drop offs in some areas. On one of steep inclines our vehicles moved precariously close to the passenger edge. Fortunately we had two winches one at the front and one at the rear. We used the front winch to keep the front wheels from sliding down the embankment and the rear winch to pull the vehicle back on the track. By this time we had two young couples providing assistance. b***** we didn't even think of taking photos as our mind was very firmly set on recovery
The 30 kms of track took us 6 hours Exhausted we camped at Jaspers Beach for the night See album Jaspers beach and along the track

pauline roodt Jasper Beach looks blissfully peaceful - no wonder! Only the most adventurous would venture forth. This surely is Exploration at its most challenging. You were lucky to have a couple of rescue Angels. Thanks for a most interesting update.
